Background.

Greener Footprints Week is part of the Greener Footprints campaign that JBP developed and implemented for Herefordshire Council to mobilise the public and businesses across the region to reduce their carbon footprint.

Plan of action.

The programme has involved:

  • Maximising campaign reach through promoting advice and Green Week activities via organic and paid social media
  • The use of a competition to win a bike to mobilise engagement with the week’s events and activities
  • The organisation of a Big Green Business event organised for local businesses to share their best practice approaches to reducing their carbon footprint.

Results.

  • 100 delegates from the region’s business community attended the Big Green Business Event which focussed on supporting local companies learn from eachj other about decarbonising their operations and the support on offer
  • The 30 for 2030 initiative to find 30 businesses to share their experience of getting to net zero was oversubscribed.
