JBP launches Political Perceptions through strategic partnership with Whitestone Insight

JBP has announced the launch of a new political polling and insight offering, Political Perceptions, to be delivered through a strategic partnership with Whitestone Insight, the polling firm founded by leading industry figure Andrew Hawkins.

Through the partnership, JBP clients will benefit from Whitestone Insight’s specialist expertise in political, policy and public research. Political Perceptions will provide bespoke polling and perspectives from politicians, business leaders and the general public on topical political and policy issues.

Its purpose is to shine a light on how people and businesses perceive government, political parties and policies, as well as capturing the views of parliamentarians on political developments.

The new offer builds on JBP’s 40-year track record in government affairs and campaigning. From its office in Smith Square, Westminster – a short distance from the Houses of Parliament – JBP has long advised major companies, regional governments, third sector organisations and industry trade bodies on how to shape and respond to public policy.

Whitestone Insight brings deep sectoral knowledge to the partnership. Its founder, Andrew Hawkins, created the polling firm ComRes in 2003, building it into one of the UK’s best-known research brands, winning multiple industry awards and being recognised as the most accurate pollster in both a General Election and a nationwide referendum.

Following the sale of ComRes to Next 15 plc in 2019, he launched Whitestone Insight in 2022 to focus on political, public policy, corporate and faith-sector research.

Jonathan Simpson, Head of Public Affairs at JBP, said: “Political Perceptions will give our clients business-critical insights they can act on. At a time of intense political volatility, decisions cannot be based on guesswork.

“Our partnership with Whitestone Insight ensures clients gain access to industry-leading expertise in political and attitudinal research, enabling them to anticipate what is coming next, shape the debate and make better strategic decisions.”

Andrew Hawkins, Founder of Whitestone Insight, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with JBP on Political Perceptions. JBP’s long-standing presence at the heart of policymaking, combined with Whitestone Insight’s commitment to rigorous, meaningful research, creates a powerful platform for understanding how politicians, businesses and the public view the issues that matter.

“At a time when evidence-based insight is more essential than ever, this partnership will help organisations navigate uncertainty with clarity and confidence.”
