I joined JBP in 2023 from boxing charity Empire Fighting Chance, where I was Communications and Advocacy Manager. Prior to this, I spent six-and-a-half years in the elected Mayor’s Office at Bristol City Council, with a focus on communications, engagement, and policy. During this time, I worked on a broad range of projects, including coordinating the successful campaign to bring a Channel 4 Creative Hub to Bristol and delivering the annual City Leadership Programme for disadvantaged young people. While closely supporting the Mayor during many significant local, national and world events, such as the toppling of the Colston statue, Brexit, and the COVID-19 pandemic, I gained a deep understanding of the functions of local democracy.
As an Account Manager in the Stakeholder Engagement team, I work on a variety of accounts across the country, undertaking a variety of different tasks. This could be advising clients on the political climate in various local authorities, managing community relations, implementing communication strategies to help clients to achieve their long-term goals and general media relations.
Outside of work, I can be found getting out into nature, cycling, running, seeing live music, geeking out on current affairs, and socialising with friends.
